The White House page has listed, among other things, Obama's agenda for civil rights including specifically LGBT Community concerns.

Among them:
Expand Hate Crimes Statutes
Fight Workplace Discrimination
Support Full Civil Unions and Federal Rights for LGBT Couples
Oppose a Constitutional Ban on Same-Sex Marriage
Repeal Don't Ask-Don't Tell
Expand Adoption Rights
Promote AIDS Prevention
Empower Women to Prevent HIV/AIDS

Click here to read more about each. Its awesome that he and his chosen committees have started TODAY to outline their agendas for his term as president. It is comforting to know that there are people who are trying to look out for the civil rights minority groups in this country. GOBAMA!

I am really excited about where we can go. I just hope he doesn't become so entangles in the Washington Machine that these things do not come into being.

You and me both. It's encouraging that they have this on the agenda.. already that is a big change.. and lets hope it really does amount to some more rights coming our way!!
